Just a quick wrap up to round out the year – dumplings, cycling, visits to UK and visitors in Poland.
The Famous Clootie Dumpling
Rembering my grandmother’s Clootie Dumplings, which were generally served around Xmas time, I looked out a recipe and made a dumpling for myself.
Absolutely delicious, although I say it myself. Not quite the same as my Granny’s though – I think her’s might have been more like a ‘fruit pudding’. So there’s the task for next year – find a recipe for a Scottish fruit pudding.
More than 3,500km in the saddle
Since getting a meter for my bike at the end of May, I’ve managed to clock up more than 3,500km. The bikes are now away until the weather improves in the Spring.
Caledonian Ball
The Caledonian Ball was a ‘blast’, but I wish I could remember a little more of the evening after about midnight!
Worcestershire – October 2011
Thanks to Kath and Lindsay for accommodating me on my visit to UK in October.
Vistor in September
Neil visited in September and gained some expertise in taking a tow on a bicycle.
